Home for the Holidays

Weeee!!! This is going to be my longest stay at home in probably about a year and half!! So I did most of my x-mas shopping really only getting stuff for my parents. Have to get something for my brother and my sister but that can wait... maybe. My brother I can probably just get him a video game or something. My sister she isn't coming up till a week after x-mas so I can do some discount shopping WOOT! Anyway, it snowed last night after the rain so there is like an inch of ice on everything. Here are some pictures.

So I forget how big these images are on Blogspot but I think you can change the size...

Interestingly as I was walking around outside a branch decided to fall down from a tree. Only a small twig but the rest looked like it was close to coming down too. I decided to take a picture and be like! THE BRANCH THAT ALMOST KILLED ME! OH MY. I didn't think the picture was gonna turn out to cool because of all the nasty leaves but it turns out its looks pretty good with the leaves! Aren't pictures weird like that?

Next is a picture of Frosty! I did take a picture of Santa and the reindeer but they didn't turn out as well. Oh ya the reason why I didn't know this right away is because the screen on my camera is broken.. Its very sad I didn't take it to walmart yet though because I have a warranty on it and I don't know if they cover the warranty for a broken screen. Though what is the point of a warranty if they don't?

And here is the whole group!

Man I hope I get all of these pictures uploaded! Hmm here is one with random foot prints in the snow. It was weird I didn't even know I took this picture but it turned out well! Or so I think. Thats all for today!

Phone...

Man I am not sure what is up with my phone lately!!!! I think it doesn't like talking to people. I give someone a call and if I am on the phone for more then 5minutes it's like fuck this... and disconnects me!! Geeze!!!! And then if I talk to much in one day its like GOD DAMN IT PEOPLE STOP FUCKING CALLING ME and then turns off and shuts down. I turn it back on and it has two bars of battery left... WTF? Why did you shut down again?

I think maybe I will take some pictures of my phone and post them! Speaking of pictures I broke the screen to my camera already! GARR I think I will try taking it back to walmart with my warranty.. I am not sure what all it covers. Hopefully I can get something out of it. It still takes pictures I just can't see them until I upload them on the computer which isn't to bad I guess. Just make sure to take multiple shots so that one of them turns out okay!

Blog This Blog That

Well... I guess I haven't posted in a while. I don't know if I want to be posting just random things that are happening... I think it would be better to have a purpose or goal to a blog not just random things that are going on at the time. Who really wants to read that? Maybe they glance at it for a couple of minutes then they get over it and move on.

SOOOoooo... because I am in charge of a go club maybe I should post over time a tutorial on how to play the game! I am not sure if I posted this idea before... or even if I had it before but maybe it would be cool so then I can tell people to go look at that particular post.

Apart from that the only other thing I can think of is maybe posting reviews on books I have read. Though I don't really read all that fast maybe 1 book a month if I am lucky. I have to have read a lot of books lately. Like I read within the last year 2-3 Wheel of time books, Rendezvous with Rama, Dune, Killing Floor, Die Trying, maybe some other book I forgot... Currently Reading Echo Burning and Rama II, Next in line are to read Either A Game of Thrones or Hitch HIker's Guide to the Galaxy... Then another rama book, Not sure if I want to continue reading Lee Child books that star a character called Jack Reacher (Killing Floor & Die Trying) the first one was really good but the second one I read wasn't as great and not the third one if even less as good though by far they are not bad books they just are not great books and I am afraid the character starts to become predictable... it was very unpredictable in the first book so maybe that is why it was so good. Also they didn't show the other guys side of the story like he started to do in the next book.. :-(

If any body who still reads this interested in anything and want to hear it let me know!

Life At Riddle

Well I am back to trying to get the Go Club to become an actual size club on campus. However this is very tiring. I seem to have been able to spread the word of go so that people no longer call it othello. Instead they are like is that Go?? I am like yes do you know how to play? Either answer is a little bit or no. And I try and coerce them into being taught the game. The result is some days we get 4 people to show up and some days we get a stunning 7 people to show up!!! This is actually very interesting because more then a dozen people show up to the meetings if you add them all together?? Do I have a finicky club that people only show up to if they are in the mood? After all this is only a game... we don't actually have a lot more benefits then say playing chess. Maybe we can brag that you need to be more skillful to play Go then to play Chess?

Go Game

I think my Go has gotten weaker. I am not sure anymore the strings that held my groups together used to be strong! I never lost a head to head fight!!!! Now my groups are open to attack! The people that I used to play are no longer on. The people I play now have strange foreign moves to me. I do not know how to react! The moves they make do not even seem to be strong. I try to attack the weakness but it is like trying to grab at a balloon that has just flown from your hand out of reach. You try to jump because it is moving slowly away but you still cannot grasp it even though you may touch the string. And like a balloon when you are blowing it up you have to judge exactly how much air you can blow into it. If you blow to much air it will pop! Same with territory you have to judge your extensions and not open your groups up for attack themselves or all is lost.

We will leave with a profound go Proverb!

"Don't go fishing while your house is on fire"

Explanation: If your house burns down then you will have nowhere to cook your fish!

Weeee!!!

I am still reading Harry Potter... I must be one of the few people who has had the book for this long and still have not finished the book. Oh well...

Yesterday my friend Andy and his brother went out to eat. And on the way back his brother hit the curb when dropping my off. I guess they never really changed a tire before because they have triple A.. well I was gonna change the tire but I ended up not doing it because my brother decided to come out and jack the car and he jacked it up on the little guide rib that goes along the bottom and bent it. Oh well they called triple A and he changed the tire in like 5 minutes. Oh the fun.

Lazy... On so many levels

I can't be more blunt then that. I am a lazy person! I use all kinds of shortcuts just so I don't have to do the work all over again. I hate redundancy. I have been trying to keep up with posting on this blog but there is so much to post about that I end up not posting anything! I have tons of pictures to share but they take sooo long to load. Don't get me wrong.. I do work that I am given! I may end up putting it off if I don't sense any kind of urgency but I do, do the work. And if it is something I would have to do again! I make sure there is a quicker way... now this quicker way may take me a while to figure out that might have been quicker to just go and do it. But oh well! I like efficiency... I hate the fact that I was late by 5-10 minutes everyday! But what can I say I am lazy... SO a 10 second preview of what had happened over the weekend.

Friday last day! I posted that I believe....
Sat- went to air museum! was awesome. Took tons of pictures.. stupid SR-71 was blocked by another plane for good shots.
Went to gregs but he wasn't there had to leave for my sisters house. I got in about 12:00 had to wait 15 minutes for her to get off work.
Sunday - Spilled oil on myself! Doh I am a clutz
Saw the harry potter movie. Was a lot better then I expected. (i have doubts against any book that becomes a movie.) We had ice cream... pizza... ruby tuesdays not all in that order.
Drove back home which took about 9 hours.
Monday- Met my Dad's 35 yr old brother. Apparently he does drugs, has a suspended florida license, a 21 year old GF with a 2 yr old baby....
Tuesday- Got my hair cut! YAY! Met up with my friend Andy where we proceeded to drink some alcohol and then ate some chicken! The chicken sobered my up thought which is sad. Not eating a lot gets you drunk quicker.

Last Day

Today was my last day at work with ASA. Tomorrow I will be heading home for about two weeks. My first stop is overnight in Rock Hill, SC. This is where my sister is at. And then Sunday night I should be headed out again for PA.

Last day of work really wasn't weird or anything. It really just felt like another day. I did work most of the time trying to get the MTBUR out for the people before I left. They made a card for me I didn't read all of it yet. It seemed like everyone wrote something and it was very nice. They also gave me a framed picture of the group photo! Which was taken with my new camera. Except they decided to crop it and the people on the ends are in a tight spot.

Well that ends my chapter with ASA. The next question will be if I am going to work for an airline or not when I get out of school. I have arguments for both causes but I am not sure which is better. We will have to see how everything goes!! Because you know if some kind of opportunity comes up I will just have to jump at it on a heart beat. Good news now though is I have about a whole year of experience at an airline doing most everything there was to do on the structures side of the hill.

Fall Out

End of March

About four months ago, sometime in April, we got a new VP for Maintenance and Engineering as the current VP was promoted and we had a temporary promoted VP at the time. Anyway, right before this happened we lost one of our propulsion engineers. We are going to start with him because it seems important to note that he was getting tons of work thrown at him and I don’t think he liked his boss to much. Never the less it seemed okay that he was leaving, however at the same time there started rumors of going to Atlanta and closing Macon down because they were trying to get this brand new hangar up there.

End of April

Anyway the next person to go was the only reliability engineer left, the other one left in December before I came back. Why did I not start there? Well it seemed to distant and not relevant. So I asked the Reliability Engineer why he was leaving and he said it was because of all the rumors and the fact that Kenny actually left got him thinking about whether or not it was time to go. He was hired by delta and is working in one of their labs in Atlanta. If we were going to go to Atlanta anyway, why not get a higher paying job there right? Well about two weeks before he left is when we did get our new VP. This guy is strange to me, I don’t know if he knows how to soften anything. Basically he said if we don’t improve our maintenance we will no longer have a job. Though he included himself in this category how are you supposed to have people take this?? At this point I am not sure if the reliability engineer had left or not but he also informed us officially that they wanted all the Directors to go to Atlanta. What this means, however, is that all the support staff directly under the Directors will also be moving to Atlanta. They project having the hangar and moving to Atlanta as early as 6 months from then. No clear plan.

End of May

Next person to go was actually a transfer down to the floor. So he is still with the company just no longer in our department. This seems okay we didn’t really lose someone but it sure felt that way as he never comes up to visit or anything. I suppose he is really busy working on the aircraft and all. This guy was the Six Sigma Project and Trax Manager for the engineering group. Hmmm maybe they should hire someone soon? They end up giving me all the Reliability Engineers responsibilities which encompasses what used to be done by two people back before December.

End of June

Well this seems okay only down two actual engineers and a support guy. This next sweep hit really hard. Three people left in within a week! We lost both of our System Guys and a structures guy. The Structures left at the end of June (the last Friday of the month) and the Systems Engineers left the 3rd of July right before a Holiday… The reason these guys left is because we were definitely going to Atlanta. Well they saw this as an opportunity to move to where they want. The structures engineer stayed at a local company around here. The two systems went out of town, one to Continental in Houston where the rest of his family lives and then the other one went to Ohio where his relatives live, working with skybus.

End of July

Well this is not the end. So far we are down 6 people from June… one other from December. Almost at the end of July our director called us into a meeting to tell us the Manager of Engineering is going to be retiring from ASA and working on part time contracting with Delta for a couple of years and then officially retiring. This was the biggest shock of them all. The fact that our boss also wanted to make more money then what ASA was willing to give when we moved to Atlanta! It probably isn’t all about the money though as it seemed to me like he was being overwhelmed with work here. Coming in at 7:00 am and not leaving to 7:00 pm on some days it seemed. So here I am at ASA going to be working a week after my boss has left…. This is just so weird.

Not done yet.

There is also this SoCal blonde from Prescott’s Embry-Riddle who also works in the department. She also has decided to leave the company and will be leaving the Monday after me. She also has gotten a job at Continental in the interiors department. Her reason for leaving was pushed over the edge when our boss decided to leave....

And of course I will be leaving this Friday.

Memphis, TN: Ginger's Wedding

This weekend I went to my cousin, Ginger's Wedding. Most of my Dad's Cousins live in Tennessee which is where the wedding was held as you can guess from the title. Memphis is kind of cool. Their Airport though is really weird.

Well I am slow what can I say!!! To recap the day as best I can remember it... it was a long day I suppose. I got up at 4am for some reason half an hour before my alarm was supposed to go off. I took a shower and I was still way to early to leave for the airport I didn't want to go back to bed or anything so I thought to myself to just go to the airport, I can read there. (I still haven't finished the hairy potter book)

Anyway I get to the airport took a picture. Got to Atlanta at some early point that I had 3 hours before my flight to Memphis. I decided to go to concourse E where there is a bookstore there that in my opinion is the biggest one in the airport. I was looking for a specific book "A Childhood's End" by Arthur C Clark. This book is really good and I want my roommate to read it but he won't buy it. No book was there I thought it was there last time but didn't know if my roommate would read it at the time. The lady said there was a Bigger bookstore on Concourse D... well No it was not bigger and I had to wait for it to open too.

Next I know that between concourse T and A... hmm T&A... Oh wait ya umm there are statues and pictures of the African culture. I think they are trying to say something about atlanta but thats just me. So I decided to take some of these pictures.

Well this is all before 9am in the morning. Then I get on the plane as one of the last seats. Get to the Memphis Airport (see above picture) which is designed really weird. Don't really do to much till the wedding I ended up sleeping. We shopped for a gift using the gift registry at some expensive store. The wedding started at 7pm... at this point I have been up for 12 hours. I take some pictures at the wedding. Most turn out bad because my dad told me not to use flash till the end. I like this picture the best...

Almost immediately after the wedding everyone went to the reception which is about 15 minutes away. The reception was where things got weird to me. The food was what they called a "potato bar" really just think of a glass with mashed potatoes and then taco toppings. Thats the potato bar. The speeches were almost touching the Husband told a story I had heard before. I think it would have been nice to have someone there that remembered me except my immediate family... Later in the reception they brought a bunch of sorority sisters forward and they decided to have some chug drinking chant and passed the pitcher around... AT A WEDDING!!!! WTF???????? Well this is where I started to want to go home now. I am done... stuck up sorority sisters for brides maids and Fraternity brothers for the groomsmen. All probably have gotten together to have matches for each other before hand.. because thats how they work. They make sure that each person has someone as a match. What does this mean I don't know nothing really I could always ask someone to dance except that they did not like to dance and keep dancing they would only pick very specific songs to dance too then leave the floor then the older women would come on the floor dance and trade spots... All I have to say is that Friend weddings are probably going to be better then Family weddings. I will have to give warnings to my cousin who is getting married. I am supposed to be the best man. Oi... If you want more pictures let me know. If not thats fine by me, it just takes so long to load them!!!

Dattebayo Staff Arrested at Otakon [UPDATED 7/27]

This one will be short. I am posting this story from a web site that I get Fan Subtitled anime from. Hopefully posting this too will not get me shot.... This is on their website in the press release section, Clayfoot is not entirely sure this is real... They have been known to pull pranks but I HOPE they do not pull one that sounds as serious as this one.

Baltimore, MD USA
Sat Jul 21, 2007 11:10PM EDT

Today at 5:57PM five members of the Dattebayo staff were arrested at the Baltimore Convention Center as they prepared for their panel as part of the Otakon Convention. Four uniformed police officers, along with legal counsel of a complaintent company, approached the stage shortly before the presentation was to begin. Witnesses said that along with the arrest, the officers seized the laptop of one of the group members, which was intended to be used for presentation purposes.

The officers, as well as the lawyers, would not respond to media inquires regarding the reason for these arrests beyond stating that they stemmed from the illegal reproduction of copyrighted works.

The panel, which was originally called "Fansubbing/Manga Scanlation" was recently renamed to "Dattebayo Fansubbing". Experts speculate that this may have alerted authorities to the location of the group members and left an opportunity for this course of action.

Witness reactions varied including one Richard Sequoa who said, "I just can't believe something like this could happen at our convention." Another witness, a Judy Hibertson, said, "I'm glad. This is what they get for their constant trolling. It's just not funny!"

When asked to comment, group member Interacti said, "I've been told by my lawyer not to say anything because of the sensitive nature of legal matters however this has been a trying experience and I'm glad my new cell-mate "Spikes" has been there to comfort me."

Update: July 22, 2007 - We've recently received further information that the arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday morning. We will continue to update as details are forthcoming.

Update: July 23, 2007 - Good news, the arraignment was rescheduled on short notice for early this morning. Naturally the staff plead not guilty. It just got done and the staff was released on bail. Pre-trial will be in two weeks. When asked for comment interactii had this to say, "<~interactii> MY ass is kinda soar". The staff is very grateful for the support that we've received via the feedback and chat room.

Update: July 24, 2007 - This afternoon state police arrived at the homes of several of the staff members who were arrested in Baltimore this last weekend. There they exercised a warrant to search and seize any electronic devices with the ability to copy, modify or redistribute audio and/or video media of a copyrighted nature. As such, several computers, hard drives, and even a few VCRs were seized during evidence collection. This has proven especially hard on one of the staff members who operates a home business and utilized their computer daily in that operation.

Update: July 26, 2007 - Late this afternoon, following the earlier searches of several staff members' homes, the state police arrived at the homes of the remaining members who had been arrested in Baltimore this last weekend. However, when they arrived at the home of one of the staff members they were surprised to find that the member had removed all the hard drives from his computer and they now lay in pieces in a garbage bag. Frustrated officers then began to yell at that staff member and accused him of destroying evidence. When the staff member met their response with silence they decided to take him into custody. Family members looked on in shock as they tasered this individual repeatedly despite him not fighting back. Suddenly, the staff member began to convulse on the floor. Doctors would later say that the individual had suffered an epileptic seizure, possibly resulting from the repeated tasering. Officers claim they then mistook these convulsions for an attempt at escape and one of the officers fired his firearm, injuring the individual. The injured staff member, in handcuffs, was later transported to a local hospital where he is now in critical condition in the ICU. The member's identity is not being revealed, on the request of his family. The staff member's lawyer has already been contacted regarding this incident. More details are sure to follow, and we will attempt to keep this story updated as details are forthcoming.

Update: July 27, 2007 - This morning at 02:43, Dattebayo staff member ImpSyn, also known as David Pryor, age 29, was pronounced dead. His death comes following a gunshot injury inflicted by a state police officer during the execution of a search and seizure warrant on his home yesterday afternoon. David owned and operated a small website design company out of his home. He leaves a wife and two children, ages 5 and 3 respectively. ImpSyn recently joined our staff when we were recruiting for an opening in the finish editor position. Despite only having worked on a few episodes of our popular releases, he was eager to meet us and join in on the panel at Otakon this year. His family initially requested that his identity not be given on this website, however in light of recent events they have reversed that decision. Currently his funeral arrangements are in planning. David's lawyer has been updated regarding this issue and has assured us that appropriate legal action will be taken, however at this time additional details cannot be released.

New Camera

Well I almost went to Daytona Beach this weekend however this friday we had some bad weather and I think that come people got pushed to friday. Anyway at the last minute the night before I decided not to go. Maybe it was for the best as the people who were going to pick me up stayed up all night reading the new Harry Potter book. I ended up buying it too only because it really wasn't that expensive. It was $18 at walmart which is surprising to me.. as I thought almost all hardbacks were 20 dollars plus.

So while at walmart I decided to get a camera. I don't know much about cameras but this was my criteria. 100-200 dollars, has rechargable internal battery opposed to having to buy double A batteries. This is because I here people saying how the flash just drains the batteries from their camera. Um also it had to be about the size of my wallet in that I can put it in my pocket easily. So I ended up with this Sanyo camera which looks pretty cool. And this is the first pictures I took of my roommates cats. This one is Starbuck. I did edit the pictures a little bit.

This is Helo. Ya umm they are sometimes a pain as they are still kittens less then a year old. At night you here them running around the house sometimes it is hard to sleep. They all seem to like my room for some reason. Every time I get home they come in my room and play in it. Maybe it is because I have a stuff around my room like dice. magic cards and shoes! Also starbuck likes to lay on my computer keyboard.. I think he likes to do that because it is a little warm and everything.

Finally the last cat is boomer.

One mistake I did do I guess was not get an SD card. So right now I can only take about 10 pictures before I fill up the battery. I am told by one of my friends that you can get a SD card from walmart for about 15 dollars that is a 1 gig card. He said it might be a sale or just what they are going for now. I will have to look into it more. Next week I do plan on going down to the Warner Robins Air force base Air Museum and taking some pictures as they have a SR-71 down there. For future notice, this weekend I will be going to a wedding that one of my cousins is getting married. I don't remember which one but my Dad wants me to go. This is his part of the family down in Tennessee. GEEZE why is every week going to see family?? Maybe I am just crazy. This is also their first time flying for free on delta so we will have to see how that goes.

Quick Need to Type Quick!

Okay its late.. why because I went and saw Transformers. It was an okay movie very entertaining. The fights were not as good as my one friend abe thinks but oh well. Ya he likes the graphics over the storyline... well I like err I don't know the hot chick in the car maybe... I think it was an okay storyline if you ignored the whole cube thing. Anyway onto the next part.

Rest of Shoreleave in as few words as possible...
Poker, Dancing, Singing, Pirates, Beer, EEK FAMILY!! BAD..., RUN!!!

Uh okay Poker... Played the first night net 11 dollars. Played the Second night lost 4 dollars. Seems good to me for hours of entertainment until 4:30 am.

Dancing... Danced with this nice girl named Dawn who lives somewhere 30 minutes from ocean city. She very good looking, was way off on the age. I thought she was about 6 years younger then what she was. I think thats always a plus! Didn't really get to talk to my Asian Photographer friend this time.... maybe she was avoiding me or to engrossed into the con thing.

Singing... there is this group called Boogy Knights they are really good. They do song parodies kind of like what Weird Al does except just fantasy. Um other singing news there was a Karaoke which we didn't stay long for had to play poker after all. Some of the people were good. Some where... well drunk.

Pirates... uh well people dress up. There was this guy who looked exactly like Jack Sparrow you had to do a double take. Also boogy knights dresses up like pirates. Other people typically dress more sci-fiish with the always present klingon jail which Maybe I should have put britt into. Eh I dun think there is any other news on pirates.. no pirate party anymore it was disbanded by the hotel. Very sad.

Beer... I had lots of beers over the weekend. Mostly Flyingdog and Corona. Ya... umm giving blood and then drinking is very fun.

Family... Eh ya some of them were there I tried to avoid some people...

Baltimore: Shoreleave 29

For a while now I have been going to a Star Trek Convention known as Shoreleave. This convention is a fan run convention that is in its 29th year now at Baltimore. This year they had a couple of people that you might know.

Lets start out with one you will most likely know.

Nichelle Nichols
ST:TOS's
Lt. Uhura

She was very nice. I seen her a couple of years ago. She typically talks a bit of her experience on the show, a little bit of her life previous to the show then she goes into how she got the job. Finally she almost always ends talking about her impact on black women and society. She considers one of her greatest feats to be getting diversity into the space astronaut program. She had a lot of things to say and was very enjoyable.

Gary Jones
Stargate SG-1's
Chief Mst Sgt. Walter Harriman

&

Dean Haglund
X-Files and The Lone Gunmen's
Richard Langly

Were on at the same time when it was supposed to be just Gary Jones. These guys were very funny, what they did was a "Who's Line is it Anyway" Improv with the crowd. They geared it towards star gate as it was supposed to be more towards Stargate fans because of Gary Jones. He was kind of funny because he was talking about how all he does is email people and set the stargate symbols... Reminds me a lot like what Uhura does.. you know just talking to the computer!

Aaron Douglas
Battlestar Galactica's
Chief Galen Tyrol

This guy was pretty cool. I should have talked to him while he was at the pool but I didn't I assumed he wanted to relax because he had his book. During his talk he was saying how he loves to talk to fans and about the show and doesn't mind people bothering him. Heh for now he does anyway! He talked a lot about his little boy and how he spoils him when he comes over. He also wanted a beer! As he said so many times throughout his talk about it would be really cool if a fan had a beer for him! He also told us some more somber things like how "good" actors actually experience feelings while they are filming. He mentioned the rape scene when the Marines were raping Number Six on Battlestar Galactica which ends up only being a 30 second scene but they filmed the whole event and all the retakes and different angles took 12 hours. So he was saying how comes to these type of conventions to get away from the acting helps so that he doesn't drive a car off a cliff.

Lastly the only other person I saw was:

Claudia Christian
Babylon Five's
Cmdr. Susan Ivanova

I didn't actually go to her talk or anything. She was *cough* supposed to be a judge at the Masquerade on Saturday night. However, she was really really drunk. I don't think people caught on at first. She came out and talked a bit of thanks for being here and I dunno general babble on how she already started judging the crowd. It was kind of funny and could have been something that was just planned. I started to suspect that she was a little drunk towards the end of the speech when she went backstage instead of down to the judges table. Then came the kids judging contest. When she started ogling a couple of the kids from her seat I knew she was toasted. Then came this mother and a baby and she stopped at the judges table. She started holding the kid and I was like OMG Take the baby from the drunk women. Anyway eventually they get through the showing of the kids and to the awards. She gets on stage and starts to try and talk for each of the kids to the crowd and everything! It was horrible. Then between the kids and the adult competition she babbles some more and eventually they get her off stage. Never to be seen again that night.

Wow this turned out a bit longer then I thought it was going to turn out. I think I will post some more about shoreleave tomorrow. Remind me if I forget!

South Carlolina: Family Reunion

This past weekend I went to South Carolina where, obviously from the name, my extended family had a family reunion. They have one every year in this region of the United States. The event itself was a Table Rock State Park and then me and my grandmother stayed at Oconee State Park which is not to far away from the other one. They both are pretty similar where there is a lake that has a swimming area and then some canoeing (I swear I am spelling it right but the spell checker wants to say otherwise) or paddle boat, they also both have pavilion areas and cabin areas. This was just one of the many family reunions I have been to down here. Past events were more in North Carolina where me and my cousin helped apprehend a criminal! To bad this year my cousin could not make it he is out west in Santa Fe, NM. Uh see that trip here New Mexico.

So Thursday I left as soon as I could after work but I had to finish packing and didn't get out of the house until 6pm. The trip was supposed to be 4 hours according to google maps however due to traffic in the Atlanta area it ended up being a 5 hour trip, so I didn't get in till 11:00 there at the cabin. Oh ya here is the video for this blog... Okay I really didn't see any of the places in this video but the mountians do have alot of waterfalls that you can go visit and a couple of them are known as "Sliding Waterfalls" which this means you get to go down them kind of like a waterslide!!! They are really really fun but I didn't do any on this time around :-(

Needless to say nothing happened on Friday. Saturday I ended up getting up pretty early.. well okay (why doesn't the spell checker like okay!!!! WHY???)really this is normal time for me DURING the week! On the weekend I would rather have slept in! I got up anyway had breakfast got everyone else up and we were off the the reunion. Now I am sorry to bore you but I have a boring family. Nothing really happened we had hot dogs and hamburgers. Talked about all the people who are having medical problems... None of the younger group was there this time. I really wanted to see some people but they didn't come this year even though they probably live closer then I do. They called business and almost disbanded the family reunion because no-one was willing to be responsible for organizing the next one. Eventually someone did and they produced a date and place for the next one, and set that the following one was going to be in Florida... Maybe... Its my family anyways they probably won't remember what they said a week from now. One of the members brought their music group so we had some live music. They played all short songs that are American classics that are not really played anymore so I forget most of the words to the songs. End of reunion.

We went back to the cabin and tried to go down to the lake for some canoeing but they don't give out the paddles after 5:30!!! GAARRR!!! FRUSTRATING!!! Went back played some hand and foot (a card game.. don't worry if you don't know it not alot of people do. [man i swear they spell alot wrong too I thought there was only one l!!]). Me and my partner won! Mostly because the opposing team was to scared to pick up the pile and didn't want to get stuck with all of those card in their hand, this strategy however risky puts some serious point on the board though. Played dice with my aunt.. she won... I am not good at totally random stuff! Cards at least you have a bit more control over your options.

Saturday I tried sleeping in but my grandmother wanted to wake everyone up for no reason just because she decides she wants to make breakfast that no-one likes. Bah whatever... we go on the road to her brothers house. Takes about 30-45 minutes to get over there. They are not there... We go down to Bravard which takes another 30-45 minutes they are looking for a Sonic to eat at!!! So you want to tell me we are traveling an hour or more to look for a freaking sonic to eat at? They couldn't find one where they thought there was one so I vier them towards some barbecue place. It was pretty good. More frustrating things... Bah... Went to the waterfalls... more frustrating things... GGAAARRRHHHH STICK TOGETHER PEOPLE!!!! DON'T WANDER OFF! By the time we get back home it is freaking 9:30pm or something and I have a 4 hour drive to make. I eat more ice cream and go home. In the end I dub this weekend a big waste of money and time! You know its not that I don't like my family it just that they frustrate me when I am at the mercy of their planning and having to have to include them on decisions.

Houston, Tx

I live in Houston County (they like to pronounce is Houseton), well this weekend I went to Houston! Something I did not know about was that Houston is the 4th largest city in America. The first three are NYC (obviously), LA & Chicago, then comes Houston followed by Philly (YAY PHILLY). So I know a couple of people in Houston now. One is Solinard who recently got a job as one of NASA's Famous flight controllers. His roommate I also know from college who works with Lockheed Martin (I think), he confirms some of the experiments that they do up there on the space station. He says it's boring and just looking at a bunch of data and will be surprised if he is there for more then a year. And the third person I know is PiyoPiyo who has an internship with Continental.

In the morning Me, PiyoPiyo, and her roommate went to the Downtown Aquarium. This aquarium wasn't very big but it had some cool animals (the interesting ones were mostly not the fish). They had Huge Eels, Huge fish but the cool ones were the huge Horned Turtle or something, Some HUGE boa.. and then they also had two white tigers!!! The tigers were cool they looked like huge kitty cats they had a huge ball but they were just laying around they might have been to hot or something.

In the afternoon Solinard and his roommate finally showed up and we went out to eat at some steak place. It was good... I got steak hehe. Afterwards we went to go see a movie. We went and saw Evan Almighty. Over all the movie was okay its not like it was horrible or anything, the ending seems kind of forced and it doesn't flow as nicely as it could have, but the story was nice to see. The movie is better while watching it in my opinion because as a think back to the movie I don't think its as great as I did while watching it.

And thats basically what I did in Houston, other then the flying there and back and we talked alot about what people did at their jobs and stuff.

California? Coffee? WTF?

Well I was trying to find a good video of California Girl but this works too... Probably better for this post.

You Are 12% California

You are a bogus Californian. Go back to the East Coast.

This is what one of my friends posted on our forum. He is 88% Californian while I am only 12% californian... I think there is a good reason too! Take this test and you will soon find out yourself why only californians can score high on this test. What he cannot believe is why all the rest of our friends are scoring so low!

Okay onto the next Test. Coffee!

You are a Black Coffee

At your best, you are: low maintenance, friendly, and adaptable
At your worst, you are: cheap and angsty
You drink coffee when: you can get your hands on it
Your caffeine addiction level: high

Well... alot of my friends at school are coffee drinkers so they took this test. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I GOT BLACK COFFEE! WTF??!! I just drink coffee in the morning at work, I swear! Okay so I did have coffee at the bar in New Mexico and later on that night but I was tired after the long trip! Hmmm I just don't know what to say.

New Mexico

Well it seems that every other week I travel somewhere, this week I went to Santa Fe, New Mexico. I flew in from Atlanta to Albuquerque and my cousin picked me up at the airport. Well not really my cousin.. he was in the car yes but Barry, my Aunts Boyfriend, was the one driving. Barry has only had his license for about six months. I don't know how else to say this other then he is a HORRIBLE DRIVER! So I feared for my life on the way to Santa Fe.

Once we got there we picked up my cousins roommates and went out to a bar. The first bar turned down one of us with a license that expired so we went to the next and next and finally ended up at this bar called the Cow Girl. Well I should have known from the name this bar was probably a gay bar. All the women were in groups and all the men were in groups. Nothing was really noticeable except the women sometimes holding hands but eh I only noticed this at the end when they were closing the bar at like 12:30???!! Who closes a bar that early?

We went home watched some robot chicken and went to bed. Next day we woke up ate, played settlers of Catan, AN AWESOME GAME, and then went to the mountains for a hike. Well I am not in shape I will just say that and probably lagged the whole group. We went a total of around 11 miles up the mountain to the top which over looked the city and more. Was a nice view but I am not sure it was worth killing myself over. Afterwords we had a large dinner with pork chops, mash potatoes, veggies, mashed turnips, some other things I can't remember the name of. After that we were pretty much beat from the hike and all went to bed.

I got up in the morning and got on my flight back to Atlanta. I tell you what I may start to regret having a manual transmission because my legs were killing me so much so that I did not want to shift gears because having to move my left leg to push in the clutch was a chore. Even as a speak my legs are still killing me maybe I should ice them. Next time I go out there I think we might go see an Opera they have this cool Amphitheater out there. Also I am not sure my cousin realized how short of a period I was out there because last time I took off a whole day this time I didn't. Next time hopefully get to do more stuff... well sort of. There isn't all that terribly much to do out there without spending an arm and leg.

Life of Carcer

I guess I have a boring life.. but I really don't know how to make it more interesting. I do things I have seen things that I know other people never do. Hmm so lets have a life recap...

Young... fell off bed got stitches on the middle of the upper lip (you know between that bridge there)... I don't remember this but it happened!
Raced Remote control cars around the Trailer Park (yes I lived in a trailer park)
When I was 8 or so Umm first grade age I moved and went to prefirst at Muhlenberg. A house this time. I was in a play that they put on... one of the horses I believe for Cinderella. Oh ya fun fact everyone who goes there misspells Mule... muhl...

Anyway so I have been older then everyone by a year for a long time. I actually did well in those years getting straight A's and later I excelled well in math but not in English. So life goes fast and 5th grade I am part of another play. This time the high School wanted middle schoolers for a play I tried out for slow poke (I think doopy is the Disney's name) Ended up getting Snore (Sleepy). Yay I am not sure if this fits me what do you think? Speaking of Disney I think around this year I went to Disney's big red boat cruise! It was fun. The pool was salty so I didn't swim in it much. Played a lot of capture the flag and other things with the kids programming.

Oh ya back up.. first grade I also became a Tiger Scout!! Yay cub scouts. Okay fast forward again. Sometime in the middle school I got to be in the Boy Scouts. Did some camping! Boy scouts was really really fun! All good times. Nothing was lame about it to be honest got to go to a gun camp. Went hiking in the snow pulling sleds, figuring out clues, tying knots. I was probably introduced to magic about the same time I was introduced to boy scouts. Back when if you lost the game you lost a card! Little did I know you were supposed to pick the card up for grabs or something the rules about that were fishy! Um right so that's middle school.

High school comes around and I wanted to join something to do there. My sister had a friend who joined stage crew and I joined up with her. She never really got into it and didn't do anything but I liked the crowd and stayed with it. Umm ya I am not sure I will talk about some of the things that went on down there! I did lighting my junior and senior year, this is alot of work and I put in long hours. Once in a while I got paid which was cool!

Oh ya speaking of being paid... back in the middle school years I did have a job delivering papers. It started out as my moms which I did most of the work anyway but eventually took over.

Okay back to high school. I did date a couple of people but that was it and high school was just about over I had to rush to become an eagle scout my junior year. Liked physics alot and for awhile debated about going to college for either lighting or Aerospace Engineering (actually I didn't know they had aerospace engineering I thought it was all just space physics or something like that).

Notable things I did while in High School: Catch a guy who shot someone in North Carolina! That story might be for another post if I get requests.

College I went to Embry-Riddle... I like the place but after 4 years there alot of the people have really bad attitudes and it is very hard to lighten up the mood. Imagine a bunch of people who complain about nothing ever going on but don't bother to leave their rooms! If you hate it so much just leave! I join Touch-N-Go my freshman year almost immediately because of stage crew from high school. I had a great time with the group I am not sure if I will continue my service during the fall because alot of people who I liked are gone now. Also I think I should concentrate on my school work my last semester there I did not do as well as I hoped.

Notable things from college: Put on Concerts/Comedians - Sugar Ray, Christopher Titus, Collin Mochery & Brad Sherwood, American Hi-Fi with Bowling for Soup, Carlos Mencia (He was awesome! I never seen his show so it was all new material. However afterwords I realized it was all material from his show. But it was new then so no-one really saw to much of his show)... I think that's it I put on another concert I didn't really watch or take much part in and I forget the name of the group.
More notable things: Got an internship with ASA yay! My first real job outside of college jobs and new paper routes and doing things for stage crew! Well it was the most I was ever payed anyway!

So that leads me to where I am now. I hope you enjoyed a short recap of the Life of Carcer! If you have an questions or want me to expand on a certain part I will gladly do so.

Regionals: Salt Lake City

I flew to Salt Lake City if you couldn't guess from the title. I went 4-3-0... Some might say this is good considering I won more then I lost but the first four rounds were 1-3-0 so I mean I only one the last 3 because I was playing against crappy players???? BAH anyway before I talk about the rest of salt lake city here goes the round by round fight.

Round 1 Ding... B/W Rack deck. First turn Plaque Rusalka, turn 2 cry of contrition rack. Turn 3 stupor turn 4 rack rack, sac plaque... Umm something like this anyway I am exagerating but not on the triple rack part!!! Holy crap I cannot do anything about that. Game 2 went similar because he had double rack pretty early and then persecute GOT OWNED

Round 2 Aggro deck with counterspells (go figure?) I think it was three colors I OWNED IT.

Round 3 Angelfire- I made HUGE play mistakes both games.. I lose

Round 4 This storm deck that pissed me off! GOT OWNED

Round 5 This woman who was to old for magic. Okay this is probably bad to say but I was nice... OWNED

Round 6 LD deck with a dumb pilot. I thought the deck was good though. OWNED

Round 7 WHY AM I PLAYING??? DRAGONSTORM- Supposedly the best deck in the format. It won game 1 but game 2 it didn't have the power. I own it.

Okay thats it I got 36ths like I said out of like 88 players though most dropped at this point, so that means I was pretty far down he list. 32nd and up got prizes.

Now for the rest of Salt Lake City... Apparently this is a HUGE mormon town and my friends Girl Friend is a huge religious buff going to Messiah (which is where one of my ex-girlfriends went). COME ON the name gives it away I am not saying anything else. Okay right... Mormons... that is apparently a nick name for the religion which they call the Church of Laterday saints... SO THATS WHAT THOSE COMMERCIALS ARE??!!! WOW... I feel dumb. Anyway we went on this tour that is the whole intro to god when I guess they wanted more of a historic background thing. What I did learn was this guy Joe Smith or something like that is their founder of the church in 1820s or something and how he found the Native Americans version of the bible... uuuuhhhhhhh... really?

So then they go on and on about how they believe this book of mormon (which is where they get their nickname from) is the word of god. Well to not get to religious smashing or anything I don't believe that anything written by Human beings are the word of god... not a bit... maybe they have talked with god if you can do that kind of thing and they thought they wrote what he wanted to say but I am sure they all botched up the message when they started a religion to convert people to follow such strict outlines and specifics. Uh so anyway, ya some interesting facts are that they always have a Prophet now! What? how are you sure there is going to be another prophet after the current one?... I think they should use a different name like the Pope! Thought that is almost as bad when you consider how confusing religion can get. Should religion be murky? I think things that are true and holistic should be umm simple and easy.. you know like not murdering people who easy is that! (Yet what is this about Murder is bad but killing people in the name of religion okay? I am confused again!) Well lets go with not killing people is a good thing.

I have gotten off topic, I think, after this tour of the mormons we walked around town got asked by a bunch of bums for money and I tell you what they are more blunt about it then the bums in Philly and they were to well dressed to play the part so I didn't give them any. They just want to take advantage of all the giving mormons. Well take that! Ask me to buy you food I might do it... ask me to give you money err no sorry. Will they ever ask you for food? I doubt it, they are not hungry and they can make enough in a day to eat for a bit I would think. So after fighting all the bums we went to the hotel, ate some food, played some magic. I traded my friend for a wrath of god and got some other things. Everything was fun though I don't think i will ever go to salt lake city again. Way to religious for me and besides the flights getting out are REALLY REALLY difficult. I had to get on the first one and S2 my way onto the Aircraft! Geeze!!!!!!! the first flight of the DAY! 6:00 am!!!!!!! Over all I think the weekend was a bit to expensive for me too! But it was fun and I got to see my friend again.

Anime

So another facet of my life is watching Anime. I am not one of those hard core anime watchers but I do watch a couple. Right now I am watching Naruto and sometimes bleach. Anyway, the anime that got me started was on Cartoon Network, Trigun! Woot this show is pretty awesome. Actually I didn't know how awesome it was until I watched them all straight in a row with a storyline and everything! I also watched dragonball Z but I am not sure how much of an anime this is still then more of just a cartoon hehe. Still it was pretty good until it got really repetitive.

So really, I got to college and met my current roommate who got me into playing Go. After playing go for about 6 months he finally got me to watch this Anime about playing Go. I was very skeptical about it because seriously a show about watching people play a board game? This doesn't sound very interesting. I was extremely wrong I guess. It is amazing how good the show actually is and the drama they put into it. You actually never see a whole game or anything like that just the dramatic instances when the characters sweat. What is crazy though is the music that the imploy in the episodes. At the very end of the show they have this ending music that just grips you to go and watch the next episode! Lucky for me the whole series was complete at the time and I just had to go and watch the next one. After that my roommate got me to watch Naruto, however this series is not complete and has ALOT of episodes, it is still going on. Naruto has about 230 episodes by now and is pretty good (Except for the past year when they were doing only side stories, but are now back to the main storyline). Other animes I have watched are Bleach which is pretty good, full metal panic and probably some other random episodes of other animes.

No reason to post!

So in the life of Carcer what has been going on??!!!

Answer: Nada! other then I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean!!! It actually wasn't that great. It really felt like that you were supposed to remember everything from Pirates 2. So I ended up being really confused when they started talking about things I vaguely remember. My Conclusion though is this!

Star Wars 2....................................... Pirates 2
Starts out with battle and escape..... Err ditto
Luke trains to be a jedi..................... Well there are no jedi sorry...
Luke finds some Mystical Jedi......... Will finds some vodo women who is actually a god
Luke finds his father........................ Will finds his father... okay this is a stretch
Luke tries to save his freinds............ Will tries to save his family
Han Solo gets encased in Carbonite... Jack Sparrow gets encased in.. the world of Death

Star Wars 3........................................ Pirates 3
Luke goes to save Han Solo................. Will saves Jack Sparrow
Death Star.......................................... Some ship that doesn't die
Yoda Dies........................................ Some crazy god gets free and... nothing happens
.........................................................(Other then a wirl pool which doesn't do anything!)
Last battle Lots of Ships..................... Last Battle Lots of Ships
Death star blowing up from............... None of the other ships really fight here at all!
a few ships

Oh ya and to say the least both try and save their father throughout the movie.

Anyway I love this song by queen! That is up there! I hope that you clicked on it and listened to the song while you read the rest of my Article. I think I like this concept that I stole from PinkAngels . Though she posts the videos at the end I think I want to have them in the Beginning so that people can listen to it while they read instead of at the end when they are done and want to click out! What do you think?

On another note! Sexy Holloween in June may not happen I am told. Very sad... Also didn't go to Ren fair today... Oh well Maybe some other time.

Workin

Lately work has been giving me so much stuff to do its getting CRAZY!!! I have about 10 PMAs stacked up to evaluate and approve. I keep getting some random projects that people want information on. Finally I am doing all of the monthly reliability report for the month. On top of that I am still auditing the weight and balance for our aircraft, and that has only sped up with the 640 mods started in Atlanta. Things are just nutz!! I still have some service bulletins that I haven't even looked at and then there is the 700 EC list that I haven't updated in a while. Then there is the GREO crap that is a real mess. Soooo... I am not sure how to go about attacking this whole list of things to do. I read weekly articles on Magic the Gathering website during work also... maybe I shouldn't but it is really hard just working all day without breaks reading articles.

Oh ya! I went home last weekend and went to a baseball game with my dad and brother and sister and my friend from High School!! It was fun then the next day we all went out to eat with my grandmothers at Tailgaters. Tailgaters is pretty cool idea, it is a steak house with an open grill for grilling your own steaks!! Well this seems awkward to go out and then you do the cooking?? The thing is that the steaks are REALLY REALLY good looking and I don't think you could get these kind of steaks at any store. Plus you don't have to mess with all of the clean up and the grill is Charcoal so you don't have to deal with lighting that either. It was fun and I think I make good steaks!! Flying back was a little bit of a pain because there was a maintenance delay for our aircraft getting out of the hanger and then they had to change the nose landing gear tire and then do a test run on the plane.

Random stuff

Well it has been a while sense I put up an entry into my blog here. I will have to quickly summarize what I have been doing!!

Last Friday I won the release tournament (well I tied for first we didn't want to play). Sat & Sun I went to Daytona drank beer and had pizza, hehe college students eh? I brought back my go board so hopefully I can start teaching someone here to play. Mon, Tue, Wen after work I was helping Clayfoot put together his shed! This is kind of hard to do when by the time I get over there it may already be 6:00 if not later! We finally have the structure up anyway and all that needs to be done is screw down the flooring. Anyway maybe Clayfoot already has it done!! ^^

Wen after working on the shed for a bit I played katsielyonz's white/blue magic deck. She seemed frustrated with how it ran though I think she piloted the deck a bit better then Clayfoot... no offense meant it is her build after all, she knows all the reasons she has specific cards in the deck.

Thursday, hmmm well I can't recall what I did Thursday and that was only yesterday! Gives me a chance to talk about work! I have been doing reliability sense Travone left ASA and is now working for Delta we have no Reliability Engineers when Standard Practices state we have TWO! So they give it all to me! At least the fleet managers are checking over the data and I only have to make the changes. Anyway I been doing that and making charts and excel spreadsheets, you know what an engineer does best. Well maybe you don't but I am telling you an engineer KNOWS excel! If he doesn't fire him! He is a bad engineer!

Friday, whoa! That's today man this week went by fast. I was debating on going to FNM, going out to eat with my roommate and a couple of his friends or going to see spiderman 3! It seems everyone has already seen the movie but I asked my other roommate and he said he would go. (even though he has already seen it so I guess he liked the movie) We went out to eat before hand at Chedders which is actually quite a good place to eat and the food isn't to expensive for what you get!!! I think I will have to go there more often! Spiderman 3 turned out to be pretty cool! I wish they did more with the whole venom suit being stuck to Peter Parker at all times but it turned out fairly good! I will still have to say I liked Spiderman 1 a lot.

Sat, tomorrow! Wait this hasn't happened yet??!! But there are plans! Going to Atlanta for some kind of pro tour qualifier two headed giant. Well RoboGriff and Clayfoot are going as partners and I have some random guy that Clayfoot found! So Maybe I will do good maybe not. Well this short post turned into a long one and I have to go to bed so I can get up tomorrow morning! Why do these things always start so early???

How to put up a shed? Maybe

My friend, we'll call him clayfoot, has this back yard and he apparently bought a shed to put up there. He asked if I wanted to help probably not all that serious in expecting it to come but oh well. So I am over at Clayfoots house.

Step 1 Level the ground!
Thats right I said it! Take a bomb and make it as flat as possible. We didn't have any bombs or anything so we took up shovels and bought some dirt. Why buy dirt? Well is comes in nice plastic bags of course! Geeze, any other way would have been just a pain. Of course then it starts getting expensive somehow, glad I wasn't paying for it!

Step 2 Take a break
Drink Clayfoot's tea often! You want to stay hydrated in the sun because staying hydrated is cool and stuff.

Step 3 Act like you are working
Pick up a shovel or hoe and move the dirt back and forth on the ground! Sometimes you may want to stamp your foot so that it seems like you are flattening and compacting the dirt.

Step 4 Take a break!
This may seem like step 2 but it is not! This step is very important! Make sure to give hints that it is getting late and that their daughter is hungry. Hopefully they will take you out to dinner! Clayfoot did and he paid for my MEAL!! YAY I think I should get a sign "Will work for food!", what can I say I am cheap.

Step 5 Put together the flooring
Okay this step is important to get right! Make sure you put everything together backwards the first time so that when you go back to the instructions you have to undo whatever you just did.

Step 6 Repeat, rinse, reuse
Once the ground beams are put together go back to step 1 and repeat the process to step 4 when you realize the ground covered was not wide enough.

Step 7 Put together beams
Um this one is straight forward... just do it! And watch what part number you have!

Step 8 ... Well it is late and the shed isn't made yet hmmm I guess no more steps for today!

Note: IMPORTANT! Document everything for the time lapse after the project is done!

That's all for today!

Singles Population Map

Right, so one of my fiends told me that the west cost has a lot less guys then women... Well okay that seems weird at first. However then I went on facebook and found someone had also found a map of singles in America! To my surprise this is what was the result! I really pity those over in Los Angelas.... Also look were daytona beach is. That is my school, kind of sad but oh well. However at least I have a map for the future or at least until I am not single. I can at least go job searching and have priorities for different places to live. Also, take that all you west coast, oh the west coast is so much better! YA right if your gay maybe it is better but that's because there are more guys! But New York!!! Who would have thought 185,000 more single women than men?? To bad I hate new york...

two things just two things!

Right!~~!! Welcome back to another episode of the Life Of Carcer! So I have a couple of things I want to blog about but none of them really deserve its own post... well maybe they do but they would be very short. I am not sure if people want an in depth long post or some quick short ones?! Anyway Topic 1 Happened yesterday while at Robogriff's house.. a long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away! Dun dun dah dah dundun da dah dan da da dah dan dan... you know the music that goes with?

Episode 1
The lawn was dieing! What do we do? I was on my way over to help save the lawn along the way I got side tracked by the post office. Well who knew they would still be open at 6pm! So I dropped off my magic cards I am trading to my friend Ben. Robogriff calls me while in line! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?? I am sorry the even post office had a line! I am caught! Go to Lowe's with out me I believe you can do it! Have faith, trust your instincts. The line moves quickly all of a sudden I am the next one to go! DOH!
::Scene cuts to robogriff's house::
At robogriffs house! Stalking the yard out waiting for RoboGriff.. "Hmm the yard really is dieing!" I am bored lets try and break in the house. So I try all the doors. No luck. I try all the windows. All locked damn. I try the shed... locked too! Man, well I guess I will wait.
Carcer goes back to the car... tries to call robogriff! WHat happened why isn't he answering maybe if I told him I was here he would hurry up! No luck.
::Scene cuts::
Walking the yard with some fertilizer! Maybe this will save the day.. I mean yard. Lee puts up some cable runs, while stabbing himself in the hand. Not on purpose you sick freaks! Turn on the sprinklers manually because the power to them was cut a long long time ago in a wait last year sometime.

THIS IS BORING to the main point of this story!

I go in the house and come back out to find that Robogriff has tried to turn off the sprinklers but has turned the motor the wrong way and it has come all the way off! Holy crap! the water starts rising out of the hole and rising... Robogriff takes a cup and tries to bale it out! Not fast enough! WHAT ARE YOU DOING robogriff??!! put the motor back on! I try to put the motor back on. Robogriff rushes inside to try and find something to turn the main water off. He finds a pair of pliers and tries that. Doesn't work! He needs a wrench! I keep trying to put the motor back on and all the while getting the sprinkler shot at me. Oh man I get a bit wet. I almost have it on! Got it... crap I put it on crooked... some water is still jetting away. Robogriff finally gets a wrench and turns the water off. I pale out some more water so I can try and see where this freaking thing goes. I get it on easily without the water trying to jet out of it!! Robogriff turns the water back on. The water from the sprinklers turns on! CRAP IT DIDN'T work!! Then the water dies out of the sprinklers. Must have been just the water pressure left in the line. I go in the house, man did robogriff tear up the kitchen trying to find tools!!! Well that's that I decide to make my chicken and eat.

Go vs Magic

Magic
Well I suppose I should follow up my post on the prerelease... This weekend a buncha friends here in this Georgia area decided to go up to the prerelease for future sight. I had alot of fun. On Friday I give RoboGriff a call and he tells me to be there by 5:30... well I got off at 4:15 I can try and make it home by 4:30 or so. I need to pack and also travel over there, much less change out of work clothes! Well I get there and we head up, we stay at a friend of RoboGriff's, Anthony. Anthony was a cool guy. Anyway, most of the people that read this already know what happened over the weekend! Well this seems confusing so far... maybe I should read and think about what I write.

Go!
So what I gave up was a chance to play tons of games over the weekend. So this definitely means that now I have failed to meet my goal. However I do think this is the most games I have played in a long time. What was cool was that I was starting to get STRONGER again!! I was winning a lot of my games and I think I am about to move up a rank, for some reason 1k or 1d is taken a lot more seriously then a 2k.. Still people keep asking me to teach them what a hassle. I think I might restrict them to be stronger then 15k because I can't take teaching people who don't know anything anymore!! I tell them something and they never do it! Whether or not they understand what I was trying to say I have no idea.

Match 1 Money
Go costs $0 to play... Magic costs err well as much as you want to put into the game. However a minimum of $30 for the cheapest okay type deck. To win you might need to invest a little more. Match winner Go! For obvious reasons.
Go: 1 Magic: 0

Match 2 Time
A game of magic you can easily play in 15minutes. Though some games can take longer most games will be done by at least 30 minutes because matches only last for 50 minutes and you need 3 games! In go, however, the game lasts on average 45 min - 1hr... I mean this is obviously nothing like my 6 hours games of Axis and Allies but still a tough thing to accomplish sometimes. Another thing about go is that it is very draining on you mentally. After three games or so my head starts to seriously hurt, or one game if I am concentrating a lot on it. I think I will give this match to Magic!
Go:1 Magic: 1

Match 3 Strategy
This is a very complex issue. Both of these games and invoke a lot of strategy and because I am running out of time... I will give it a tie!

*Taps Mic*
"Hello Hello, okay... THE WINNER IS! WHAT?"
*holds hand to mic but you can still hear what is being said*
"what do you mean we don't have a winner! we need a winner... tell them to play again?!!"
*Mummble Gargle blarga*
"What do you mean we don't have time for that!"
*Takes hand off mic*
"Well it seems we have a tie! Congratulations Go and Magic!"

Anyone know what this blog was about? How did we end up with some kind of speaker at the end? This is weird...

Future Sight Prerelease

Well I went to the prerelease, it ended up being more fun then it started out as. I played two flights.

First flight- I was not very happy about this one... I opened a bunch of cards that were not so great... My first iteration of the deck I ended up with very few creatures so I went back a took a look at what I had, and I ended up taking out some cards and adding anything that could fly.

The Deck Number 1

11 Creatures
2 Whip-Spine Drake -- Pretty good as most other fliers were 2/2
1 Sprite Noble
1 Crookclaw Transmuter
1 Looter il-Kor
1 Aven-Augur -- Verdict is still out but the option to bounce 2 creatures and it also has flying is still solid
1 Sage of Epityr
1 Faceless Devourer
1 Deepcavern Imp -- Awsome! I would say this card did the most damage during my games
1 Rift Elemental -- Ended up sucking as I didn't have much suspend
1 Keldon Halberier

12 Spells
1 Molten Disaster -- this card is a house! "Umm ya okay I will wrath now and sense all my guys are flying well only ur guys die..."
1 Grapeshot
2 Foresee (I think this card is awesome others said it was slow, draw spell and I get to choose what I want to draw??!!!)
1 Snapback
1 Mystic Speculation -- I included this to test out how well it would do. I this it turned out well because I also had grapeshot.. but this card was really cool when I had extra mana to drop into it. I ended up putting 3 land on the bottom of my library in one instance...
1 Delay -- Only got to use it once but it came at the right time to stop something and win me the game!
1 Fallen Ideal -- Mistake not enough creatures but gave flying for when I molten disastered we all know this card though
1 Ichor Slick -- AWESOME, can cycle combo the madness. Draw a card and kill a creature??!! and because cycle can be done at anytime turns a sorcery into an instant.
1 Grave Peril -- I read this card wrong thought it said MAY but it doesn't so it sucks...
1 Minions Murmers -- I was told this card was good but in my deck it took to long to stabilize because I drew, scry, drew, scry most of the game and I am really low in life when I had more then 1 creature to use this. I had enough draw already maybe.. needed creatures
1 Mindstab -- err bad choice.. used twice the whole time

Matches I went 2-2, didn't like this deck at first but after I started all the scrying and deck organizing and drawing cards it turned out alot of fun. Wish I had gotten some kind of bomb though... last game I played we were evenly match, he won the first game, I won the second and he asked it I wanted to split the prize (2 wins got you 1 pack, 3 wins 6), I agreed and we played the last one to see who got the extra pack. I lost but at least I could choose that I died GO molten Disaster!!

Second flight I was alot happier with what kind of cards I got, still nothing too great in the rare area besides a call the herd!.. This deck was mostly green aggro with red splashed for removal and splash black to add some more creatures

Deck Number 2

18 Creatures
1 Thorn Shell-Dweller
1 Thelon of Havenwood (ooooo--ooo its shinny)
1 Thornweald Archer -- blocks fliers... kills anything it touches... sounds good to me
1 Ravaging Riftwurm -- pay the kicker or it kinda sucks
1 Nessian Courser -- 3/3 for 3 mana... the picture makes me almost like the new frames
2 Llanowar Empath -- Awesome, almost like card draw.. I never missed with the scry and reveal
1 Penumbra Spider
1 Imperiosaur -- 5/5 for 4 basic lands (SEALED DECK?? OKAY)
1 Savage Thallid
1 Nacatl War-Pride -- this card made me mad...every time i had it in my hand I was stuck with only 2 forests. Never saw play
1 Storm Entity -- probably could have been better but once I could cast it I did with 1 counter on it...
1 Skizzik Surger -- double red is bad for splash maybe... but it did see play and was awesome
1 Street Wraith -- this card hid from me until it was needed
1 Mass of Ghouls
1 Korlash, Heir to Blackblade
2 Deepcavern Imp

5 Spells
1 Lightning Axe -- Goodbye bogardian Hellkite! was great!
1 Sudden Shock
1 Orchish Cannonade
1 Call of the Herd
1 Sulfurous Blast

Runner up land - Keldon Megaliths.. never had hellbent :-(

Okay I really liked this deck.. I was really disappointed when I lost match 2 when my opponent was at 1 life... FOR 4 ROUND!!! Then I got really disappointed when my deck crapped on my the third match when I never got beyond 3 lands in both games... However, the guy was really cool and he was dropping to play the last flight and gave me the win without even telling\asking first me. So I had 2 wins again and played my last match. My deck started humming game 1. Flying haste for the win! Second game was really really close but I lost. Third game came me beating her because she attacked and didn't take into account a gang block... weird (she was cool though met her at the planar chaos release, she was kinda heavy set and her husband this skinny ass guy weird couple)

So was the day over? I happen to have bought 6 packs of planar chaos and 6 packs of timespiral the day before with the intention to draft with some people the day before. However they were lame and didn't want to because of time and wanting to sleep. But this was for the good because now I had 6/6/6!! Draft was on now with 2 more people that were invited... wait 3 more now?? we can't do that.. bah after we went and ended up doing a sealed deck after much controversy because certain people didn't like drafting... most of the other guys never drafted before and some didn't want to do rare pick prizes?!! So because we had tons of future sight from other people... 1 time spiral 1 planar choas 3 future sight sealed deck. Where the other 2 packs came from I dunno but some how with 7 magic players they were there.

So here goes my draft Deck.. I mean a sealed deck again! After playing with future sight all day I had a better feel for the cards. Besides we had planar chaos cards mixed in which made the set as a whole feel better. The packs I opened were awesome. Timbermare, Extirpate, Glittering Wish, Trickbind, Pact of Negation... not all for sealed but cool to open after not so great of a day. Better then Pact of Intervention anyway!!!

Sealed Deck number 3

13 Creatures
1 Timbermare (foily)
1 Serendib (combo piece number 1)
1 Ravaging Riftwurm
1 Kavu Primarch
1 Mire Boa
1 Llanowar Empath
1 Nessian Coursar
1 Pouncing Wurm
1 Crookclaw Transumeter
1 Merfolk Thaumaturgist (Combo piece number 2)
1 Riftwing Cloudskate
1 Aven Riftwatcher
1 Blade of the Sixth Pride

Spells
1 Grinning Totem (man this card is fun)
1 Logic Knot
1 Ophidian Eye
1 Venser's Diffusion
1 Foresee
1 Sunlance
1 Temporal Isolation
1 Petified Plating
1 Sprout Swarm
(also had the aura that tapped or untapped other creatures)

Notable lands
1 Llanowar Reborn (very cool! graft for free is sweet)
1 Terramorphic Expanse

The deck was fun when I got the combo to kill all the opposing creatures. Anyway that's all I have.
