258 Games!!!!

Okay now to another addiction I have had for a while now, Go.

Go is an awsome game if you have never played it, I would highly recommend you to learn it! It is alot like chess in some ways that like chess... you cannot beat someone by luck! You can't easily beat anyone who is more experienced then you at the game!! However it is not like chess in gameplay at all. If chess is a battle then Go is the entire war. You will wage battles in go and you may lose out in some areas but then come back in strength in others.

As I have said I really like to play Go. About 3 years ago now I REALLY REALLY played go alot, well actually it was probably about a month or two, three years go! I played 257 games in one month! For you to realize how amazing that is I think I need to explain a little more.

The game of Go cannot be played very fast at all. They have blitz games where you have 1 minute main time and 3- 5 second byomi's. These Blitz games take from 20-30 minutes to play. AT AN AVERAGE OF 5 SECONDS PER MOVE!!! Well this is because a typical game there is about 250-300 moves in a game. Lets say that you played the fastest at 3 seconds per move in a 250 move game, thats 12 minutes and 30 seconds! And there is no way people are going to do that they spend some of their time in the main time and then use 2 of their 3 byomis.

So an average game that is not blitz usually takes up about 45 minutes to well over an hour, this is for me because I am a fast player. I know some others who take up alot more time *cough* Drew *cough*... So lets say I played an average of 45 minute games just to be easy. This is 193 hours of Go!!! And I know it is way more then that. This is like playing go for more then a week straight and not taking any breaks!!!

So you may have noticed that the title is called 258 games, and well my highest number of games played in one month was 257. If you didn't well.. there it is I am pointing that out LOL!! The reason for this is not just some elaborate name that I get to talk about go. NO. This is the number of Games I will be playing in April!!! I do not know if I will be able to make this goal and still be able to live.. because I do work 40 hours a week from 8-5 and all, and I do like my sleep.

So lets do some math. I already have a target number of hours, lets just bump this up to an even 200 hours. I have 4 saturdays, 5 sundays and 21 weekdays. Lets say I have 4 hours for the weekdays and 8 hours for the weekends. This is only 156 hours of game time... I need to find another 44 hours of time to play Go... So in order to compensate I think I will need to be playing alot, ALOT of blitz games. I will also have to try and put together some Simuls inorder to play a bunch of games at one time. Hopefully I will get some help in advertising some of these. Well thats is my Goal and we will see how it turns out.

Speeding Ticket

Who knew that speeding tickets cost so much!! Well I guess I did.. but still they are kind of expensive and all!!! Then they make you feel guilty that you were speeding!! Geeze... I talking about this because I finally paid my speeding ticket. I decided to go during lunch.

I delayed for the longest time going down to the court house and to pay my ticket. You know I guess the guilt and not wanting to give them the money and all. Well I went down and it wasn't as bad as I thought just went up there and gave them the money no guilt trip and all. I think however I will stick to just 5 over for a while. I am in no rush to go anywhere anymore, what good can really come from it anyway. All I do is drive to work, why speed there??!! Who cares if I am late not like class or anything where you are going to miss crucial information. And my boss is really lax, all you have to do it make up the time by staying late as we have flex schedule anyway with people coming in early and leaving early. After work I just go home... what is really that important at home to speed? Nothing. The only thing is I liked driving fast! It keeps me more focused and alert, and with everyone else now speeding faster then me I hate the fact that if I want to pass someone I have a chance of someone speeding up into my blind spot. Garh... stupid laws and all!

So my speeding ticket was for going 72 in a 55 zone. Though I swear I was going 68! I think he just wanted to get me going 15 mph over the speed limit where you get points on your license. So 17 over got me a speeding ticket of 168 dollars. And that's all for now! If you read this comment up your tickets!! See how much money we give our police! Though no-body really reads my blog. Whats in a name?

So one of the qeustions I get all the time is why did you choose the name Carcer, yada yada yada...

Maybe it was your first question! Well Carcer is latin, here is the definition:

carcer : prison, cell, jail, dungeon. 1

One word that is still a reminisent, encarcerated. Getting put in jail or such.

So anyway back in err about the 5th grade maybe, I can't remember which now, I took this intro to latin class. One of the projects was to come up with a god (you know they had all those gods they worshiped). Well, I decided that I would make the god Draco Carcer. As you can guess Draco means Dragon and like I said Carcer means dungeon.... God of Dungeons and Dragons! Hehe I thought it was pretty ingenious. I didn't like Carcer Draco though because I didn't think it flowed very well so there it was Draco Carcer the start of the character Carcer. Soon I decided to start using Draco Carcer for other online personas with Star Wars Sim Forums (SWSF woot!).

So if you ever see the username Carcer used anywhere it is a good probability it could be me! However lately I started finding someone else is using this name (Like gmail those bastards!!)!!

Budget Boros Deck Wins

Right so hello again! For those who don't know anything about me. One thing is for sure I would consider myself a gamer. Anyway one of the many games is Magic: The Gathering, I started back in 4rth grade or so, only a couple of my friends actually played the game so it lasted until they ended up moving away. I ended up stopping sometime before high school, and then my Junior year in college I started again when I met some people to play again! I was like i have all my old cards still YAY. However under powered they were compared to these more in depth fanatics of the game.

SSSOOOooo because I was poor at the time and still am poor I create decks all on cards I have or budgets. I never really buy individual cards I might trade for them. I like my cards that people want so it becomes partial to trade. Anyway back to my post... Yay for boros.

Sooo hopefully you can get typical draws like this... Obviously the slivers are better in pairs. but they can hold their own. I like the idea of a god draw of first turn Rusalka, second turn swiftblade, third turn 2 Brute Froces... sooo 20, 19, 5, dead... This deck will hopefully kill a person even if they wrath because by the time they wrath (Turn 4) they are at 3 and 2 life which is in burn range. And you can play creatures that don't mind wrath like Rusalka (sac your creatures and do damage) or Keldon Marauders and do extra damage.

Lost and never found

SSSOOOooo, I had a good day today in my opinion! Yesterday I finally got my paycheck... wait wait I should start at the beginning.

Okay soo about 3 weeks ago namely around the 1st or 2nd of March I somehow lost my paycheck. I was going to go put it in my paycheck in Daytona, but I thought I left it somewhere and forgot to bring it with me over the weekend. So I got back and didn't really realize it had gone missing just thought I put it somewhere. So I go to work on Monday... wait hold on pause. Skip this next part if you know about me!

More about me! I work with ASA (Atlantic Southeast Airlines) as an intern. As a benefit I get free flights. So I went down to Daytona on weekend of the third because my birthday and all was coming up.

Back to the story.

So at work I was thinking it would be nice to deposit my check during lunch. Well it wasn't at work, or at least somewhere obviously placed. I like to place things right in front of my own face so I know it is there. I go home and look everywhere for the check, and I mean EVERYWHERE!! So I decide maybe it is at work. Well my roommate would like the rent and all so I really want my check! I tell Kat our Administrative person, who hands out the checks and various other tasks, that my check has gone missing and would like to know if they could issue me a new one. Let it also be known it was my birthday! Nice present to have to ask to be issued a new check. Okay, so thats great and all it will take 10 days for the check to clear! Well she was wrong the people at accounting, somewhere probably in Atlanta, sent an email saying it will only take 72 hours before they can issue a new check. Okay this is turning out to be long but I finally got my check yesterday on the 14th of March... I was originally issued it on the 2nd!!! Poor me has not had any cash for over a month!!! Now tomorrow I will probably get my check for this pay period and end up having lots of money finally in the bank!!! YAY for money. Now I can pay my credit card bill and such! Well that is all for this post.

We may have to start up some conversations on Go, Magic, Books, other people posting, my travels and such! Any suggestions on how to get my blog out there please do tell.

Well I can't find out where to change the time at... it is late and I am gonna go to bed. At least this gives me a project to work on now!! Making posts not many people will ever read! YAY. Will add some more posts tomorrow!

This is a test only a Test

Well This is my first blog ever! YAY! soo lets make it very very boring with making it a test! Maybe we will delete it later on so no-one will ever know it was made... then again I don't even know if you can do that!!! OMG what will happen if you can't and then I get stuck with this very crappy first post! HOLY CRAP. Well I guess we will have to just suck it up then.
